The lake gets its colour from the high level of salinity found in its waters, giving it its unusual bubblegum pink hue. The best time to visit is around mid-morning or sunset on a clear day. If on land, there are many spots on the ground to view the dreamlike lake along Port Gregory Road.

The Bluff, Red Bluff Quobba Station

These stunning coastal caves, found at Red Bluff Quobba Station north of Carnarvon, mix a vista of rugged landscapes with tranquil blue waters. It’s a perfect spot to bask in the pure raw beauty of this stunning part of the Coral Coast Highway drive.

That is what you can have with a visit to Elle’s Beach at Waroora Station near Exmouth. This camping site at the station allows you to an enjoy epic wilderness setting at its finest.
Nature’s Window, Kalbarri National Park

One of Australia’s Coral Coasts most iconic sites is Kalbarri National Park’s Nature’s Window. Its vantage point overlooks the towering burnt reddish and white gorges of the National Park and out to the horizon. It is a spot of solace, a place of reflection to immerse oneself in how remarkable the now is in this incredible setting – 400 million years in the making.

Abrolhos Islands
Time to leap out of Geraldton and set sail for an island escape.
See healthy corals illuminated with bright hues with a dive around the Abrolhos Islands. Dubbed the ‘Galapagos Islands of the Indian Ocean’, this National Park is made up of 122 islands and is home to a great biodiversity unlike many places found in the country.
It is one for the nature enthusiasts both above and below sea level, home to many bird watching, fishing, diving and snorkelling opportunities.
The Pinnacles, Nambung National Park
Yes, we couldn’t complete this list without featuring those peculiar looking igneous rocks soaring towards the sky now, could we?
Otherwise known as The Pinnacles, these otherworldly natural happenstances were formed some 25,000 to 30,000 years as a result of coastal winds eroding the surrounding sand, leaving its limestone pillars susceptible to the elements.
Located 30 minutes’ drive south of Cervantes, this is a popular place to drive around and is best visited just before sunset. This golden rocky wonderland also makes for a great day trip option from Perth, being just over two hours’ drive north of the city.

Jurien Bay
To skydive or dive into the waters of Jurien Bay? Either way, whatever you decide your guaranteed for an epic viewing.
Jurien Bay is one of the Coral Coast’s premier adventure spots and its skydiving is one of the country’s best spots to take the plunge. Just imagine viewing the myriad of Indian Ocean blues right under you as you hover the sky up to 14,000ft!
The great views are not all just up in the sky. Dive dip into the waters and you may encounter one of Jurien Bay’s cute residents, Australian sea lions: you’ll be smiling all around.
Cactus Farm, Carnarvon
For an out-of-the-ordinary photoshoot opportunity, head to the evergreen Cactus Farm along South River Road. Its Californian desert meets Carnarvon’s oasis, with the giant cacti towering the sub-tropical town.
