Raise A Glass To Margaret River’s Much-Loved Virtual Cabin Fever Festival

Raise A Glass To Margaret River’s Much-Loved Virtual Cabin Fever Festival

CABIN FEVER MARGARET RIVER

Get ready to pop the bottle open for their last Friday session!

In a festival first, the much-loved South West winter festival Cabin Fever has gone digital so that everyone in Australia can join in on their famous Friday Wine Bar sessions – and sadly, today is their last event!

Over the last few weeks, the festival has rounded up the best of down south winter experiences that can be enjoyed online, from mulled wine masterclass to blind tastings as well as wellness activities, mixology masterclass, and a Friday arvo wine bar.

As restrictions are easing, the Cabin Fever team plans to will work with venues and suppliers to deliver content and activities accordingly. And for those who can’t travel to the South West just yet (sorry East coast folk!), the team will continue to deliver down south winter experiences via their social platforms for everyone to enjoy.

Festival Director Erin Molloy said, ”We encourage everyone to follow along online, purchase South West products and keep our favourite businesses afloat so we’ll be able to enjoy them for years to come.”

As a last hoorah (for now), join in for the final Cabin Fever Friday Wine Bar event. The Cabin Fever team will be rounding up some of Margaret River’s all-star winemakers for Low-fi Wine Week and beaming them directly to you via Instagram Live (follow @cabinfever_au).

This week, the focus is on alternative varieties of wine grown in the Margaret River region.

So how to make the most of Cabin Fever’s last session? Grab a bottle of Margaret River Wine by DormilonaBlind Corner, or Si Vintners and play along as virtual punters guided through a tasting, where you’ll get some insight from our winemakers and are encouraged to ask questions as you go. Compare tasting notes and kick back to learn from the masters!

Low-fi Wine Week at the Cabin Fever Friday Wine Bar kicks off at 6pm WST and will feature:

Emma Farrelly – Director of Wine for the State Buildings

Ben Gould, Owner/Winemaker at Blind Corner

Iwo Jakimowicz, Owner/Winemaker at Is Vintners

Josephine Perry, Owner/Winemaker at Dormilona

Organisers suggest following Cabin Fever Festival on social media via Facebook and Instagram for updates and future events.
