SOUTH AUSTRALIA #BOOKTHEMOUT

Tourism South Australia launch bushfire recovery campaign #BookThemOut.

There’s no denying the immediate devastation the bushfires have had on Australia nationally with millions of hectares of land destroyed, property damage and of course the significant loss of life both human and wildlife.

But what is now a genuine concern for Australia is the aftermath that tourism bodies face within these areas.

While a significant part of Australia has been impacted by the bushfires, a vast amount has not and now more than ever it is important that we look to support our tourism bodies and their vendors.

In the start of what will no doubt be many campaigns to activate tourism within bushfire affected states, Tourism South Australia has recently launched their bushfire recovery campaign – #BookThemOut.

#BookThemOut Campaign

Now more than ever, the beautiful Visit Adelaide Hills and Authentic Kangaroo Island need your support.

Tourism is vital for these regional economies to rebuild after the Cudlee Creek and Kangaroo Island bushfires.

Tourism South Australia are urging locals and travellers to round up some friends and plan a trip to their backyard.

SATC Chief Executive Rodney Harrex said tourism across the country has taken a hit by recent events, and this campaign is an important immediate step forward in the sector’s long-term recovery.

“Help them out, #BookThemOut is a strong message that the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island remain amazing, unique holiday destinations with incredible consumer experiences, and these regions need tourism to thrive and survive. Tourists can play a big part in helping these regions get back on their feet by sharing their experiences on social networks,” he said.

Explore Kangaroo Island

Tour with a local guide, meet the wildlife, buy the local produce, spirits and wine and stay a few nights. So much of the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island look exactly as you’d expect, pristine, pure and perfect.

While Tourism South Australia understand it’s no small feat to #BookThemOut, but together, every trip we make and dollar we spend will make more of a difference than we’re ever likely to know.

Everything you see in the video above was filmed this week on Kangaroo Island, 13th – 15th January.
