Melbourne can now enjoy direct flights to WA’s Margaret River Region.
The South-West of WA is undoubtedly a rare gem and contender for one of the greatest places on Earth, but for those on the east coast, it’s been a little tricky to get here over the years.
Jetstar has announced the launch of new direct flights from Melbourne to Busselton, making it even more accessible and marking the first time ever a commercial airline has linked the east coast to the Busselton Margaret River Airport, aka- the gateway to WA’s most incredible tourist destination.
Flights will run three times per week, carrying up to 50, 000 travellers between Busselton and Melbourne each year. Their first flight has just taken off today, Wednesday April 6th, bringing a full load of passengers to the turquoise shores of the West Australian coastline.
Jetstar is also running sales fares from 12 noon (AEST) at jetstar.com from $89^ one way until midnight (AEST) tonight, unless sold out prior, so any Melburnians who want to get their hands on a cheap deal better be quick.
Jetstar Group CEO, Gareth Evans said they are already seeing strong demand for the new service.
“Whether it’s enjoying the winery regions in the winter or making the most of the surf in the summer, our low fares to Margaret River have huge appeal for travellers.”
