The Hard Seltzer Masters awards have crowned the best seltzers in the world for 2022.

If you’re keen on drinks of the fruity, vodka sort, then listen up, because the world’s best of the best hard seltzers have been officially named.

With a huge surge in popularity over the last few years, seltzers have fast become recognised as the drink of summer, meaning quite a few brands have hit the market. They’re a great option for those not so keen on the stomach pains after a few pints or a heavy glass of wine, given the low ABV option (around 4%) and low calories to keep your summer bod well intact.

The big question though – exactly which seltzers are the tastiest?

Judged by experts in the field of bartending, spirit writing, and publicans, you can safely put a pause on the bottle shop browsing or online research because the 12 best seltzers in the world have been crowned at the Hard Seltzer Masters 2022 awards.

1. Young Heart Seltzer – Green Tea & Muscat Grape

The surprising big winner of the night came from Belgian distiller Young Heart taking out the number one spot for Best Seltzers in the world.

Where the majority of brands on this list found success in the ‘Spirit-based’ category, Young Heart came in strong from the ‘Fermented’ category to snag best in the show for 2022. Their hard seltzer is an all-natural, brewed product made with carefully selected ingredients, and the Green Tea & Muscat Grape boasts a herbal, fruity flavour that screams summer.

2. FELLR – Passionfruit

One of our own, Australian brand FELLR has cemented itself in the seltzer hall of fame after grabbing the title of best seltzer in the world under the Brewed category.

The Sydney-based business is relatively new on the block but that hasn’t stopped them from becoming one of the best Seltzers on the market. Launching in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. Their winning passionfruit seltzer embodies the laidback coastal feels from down under, with natural passionfruit complimenting crisp hints of citrus and ending with a smooth, dry finish.
