Spontaneous holidays in 2021 have never looked so good with the return of mystery holidays!

Just when you thought 2020 was a total bust, Flight Centre go and pull a power move and announce the return of mystery holidays. Australia hasn’t seen the mystery holiday since the demise of Ansett back in 2001 and, given the year we’ve all had, we’re pretty sure punters are more than ready to for the exhilaration of a spontaneous mystery trip.

“Not only does this show domestic travel is in the midst of a great comeback thanks to the reopening of our state borders, but it also demonstrates the incredibly strong desire Aussies have for travel after being grounded for much of the year,” explained James Kavanagh, Flight Centre Australia Managing Director. “Our Mystery Holidays have been created with the travel starved in mind, giving them the opportunity to just go somewhere… anywhere, actually!”

The two and three-night mystery holiday packages depart from Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney, for destinations like Airlie Beach, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Gold Coast, Hobart, and more. But, of course, you won’t know where you’re going until one to four days before you depart. That’s still plenty of time to rummage through your wardrobe and pack your bags accordingly.

Promising nothing less than a four-star experience, the return airfare and accommodation packages start from $399pp for two nights and from $469pp for three nights ex Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and from $599pp for three nights ex Adelaide, Perth and Cairns (all prices based on twin share). That’s a pretty sweet weekend away if you ask us.
The mystery holidays can be purchased right up until December 24 (ahem… Merry Christmas mum and dad). The holidays are an open-dated voucher allowing you to travel any time between February 1 to November 30 2021. Like most great travel deals, blackout periods do apply over school holidays and special events. Just be sure to book your trip in before April 30, 2021 and give at least 30 days notice. Terms and conditions apply.

To book a Mystery Holiday, consult a Flight Centre travel expert in-store or over the phone on 133 133. For more information visit Flight Centre.
