Attention keen travellers- the highly-anticipated annual Travellers’ Choice Awards for Hotels has just crowned its top 10 best hotels in the world, with everything from jungle hideaways in Costa Rica to lavish Spanish villas.
The awards are based on the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, and with millions of hotels listed worldwide it’s quite an honour to be in the top 1% that are awarded best of the best. This is serious stuff.
The 2022 awards included 11 subcategories, with the addition of three brand new ones: Out of the Ordinary Hotels, Hotels on the Water, and Mountain Resorts & Lodges. These categories are based on a range of different factors from hotel type to location and even the age of the property.
