10 Overseas Destinations Aussies Are Obsessed With Right Now

Trending destinations Aussies are obsessed with this Autumn.

Tripadvisor today released its seasonal Autumn Travel Index, using a combination of search and sentiment data to reveal what – and where – is hot this season as Aussies look to head overseas.

Despite the rising cost of fuel and inflation overall, Aussies aren’t willing to let this hamper their autumn travel plans. In fact, more than half of Aussies (52%) are planning on travelling this autumn (1 March, 2022 – 31 May, 2022) ,with over a third (36%) planning on taking two or more trips. That compares with over a third (40%) of Aussies who travelled in the same period last year.

Tripadvisor search data shows that the most popular dates for Aussies this autumn are 11 March, 31 March and 15 April, but where are they off to?

When looking at the destinations overseas which have seen the biggest year-on-year increase in searches by Aussies for trips this autumn, Fiji’s Yanuca Island topped the list at number one, followed by the always popular Paris, France.
