Monkey.co.uk has analyzed the data and compiled a list of the most Insta-famous five-star hotels that top the feed after sorting through more than nine million Instagram hashtags.

1. Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, Dubai
The top of the pop, Burj Al Arab Jumeirah was rated number one on the luxury hotels list – came in hot as the most beautiful five-star hotel on the planet. Although, it’s often unofficially ranked seven stars by travellers because of its extreme extravagance as only Dubai can do.
Now that’s our kind of place.
As proof of how extra this place is, guests are greeted on arrival with a pillow menu consisting of nine options and offered Rolls Royce chauffeur service. The over-the-top services are just the beginning though, as you’re wowed by a location with opulent touches and gold leaf walls in a building sitting 280 metres from the shores of Jumeirah beach and designed to resemble the graceful sail of an Arabian dhow.
2. Soneva Jani, Maldives
The postcard-perfect Maldives is no stranger to a luxury hotels list inclusion, and Soneva Jani takes the cake for the most fabulous of them all.
